My stay at Hostal Barris was simply delightful. The charming interior design with its stylish combination of mocha and cappuccino walls and Rococo-style armchairs created a tasteful ambiance that exceeded my expectations. The adjoining Vicus restaurant offered a delectable selection of local seafood specialties and rice dishes, making every meal a culinary adventure.The continental breakfast served in the small dining room was a perfect start to each day, with fresh croissants, pastries, and Nespresso coffee. The thoughtful details like the black and white blow-ups of the owner's mother from the Forties added a touch of nostalgia and elegance to the experience.The location of the hostel was fantastic, just a short walk to the Old Town with its medieval charm and plenty of excellent restaurants to explore. The free Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV, and air-conditioned rooms ensured a comfortable stay, while the tour desk assisted in planning activities like scuba diving in the Medas Islands, only a 15-minute drive away.Hostal Barris was a wonderful base for exploring the Costa Brava, with its proximity to medieval towns like Peratallada and excellent restaurants in Pals. Whether traveling with family or friends, this charming hostel offers a blend of history, culture, and modern comforts that create a truly memorable experience.
